From what I've seen the "Schwarze Block" consists of cap-wearing black-clothed sunglass-bearers with sometimes covered mouthes.
Although this description only fits partially to you, I guess the cops had a legitimate suspicion.
Regarding your ID: I don't know how it is in Britain but over here the police can ask for your papers at any given reason, no matter how small. There is no right that protects you from that...unfortunately

Yeah, I was wearing a normal black jacket, I had no sunglasses or mouth covering.

I was pounced on by two coppers as I was walking down a main street, I wasn't acting in a suspicious way. They searched me aggressively without any kind of respect...unacceptable. It's the same in the UK...a complete lack of respect from some of the police.

The whole point was to show how some of the police treat the general public.

I will be honest and say that some of them were OK and behaved in a decent way, happy to answer questions and even admitted I shouldn't have been searched like that...but there were some who were aggressive, ignorant, and clearly on a power trip...and were clearly going to love serving in the NWO Gestapo that's coming

There aren't only some, there are a lot of 'em.
After the so called reunion of Germany, the cops went to Marzahn(a borough in Berlin) and looked for the craziest and most insane people.
These guys just want to fight and beat people up.
So, no wonder if something like this happens to you.

I just remember the demonstration against Obama. Some people were held in prison for no reason. They were also tortured and stuff.
As everything was over, the arrested people were thrown on the street like dogs.
