evacuate, they're going to collapse. I said okay. I went down Vesey Street towards West.

“I went into No. 7, activated OEM, placed calls to EMS Citywide, RCC, to tell them we were there and we were activated.
Maybe five, ten minutes, not even ten minutes later, a rep from OEM came into the main room and said we need to evacuate the building; there's a third plane inbound. That was the only thing I really heard because I said, Abdo, we've got to go, and we made it down to the lobby of the building, street level, met up
with Chief Peruggia in the lobby of the building. He said that there was no third plane but we needed to re-establish OEM right there so we can coordinate what was going on. He had already been to the command post, so he told us, and he was trying to release people back to be operational. He was looking for the Fire guy to go back in. He was there with Captain Yakimovich. In OEM with Captain Nahmod and I was Chief Maggio, who is now retired, and another firefighter from the 1st Division. We were really trying to establish OEM and a treatment sector in the lobby of the building because there were people coming around us.

Ein Ingenieur der Baubehörde berichtete, die Statik beider Türme sei stark in Mitleidenschaft gezogen, ihre Standfestigkeit sei nicht mehr gewährleistet. Insbesondere beim Nordturm sei ungewiss, wie lange er noch stehen bleibe, meinte der Ingenieur. Perrugia rief seinen Assistenten herbei.
„Sprechen Sie mit Chief Ganci, nur mit Chief Ganci“, sagte Perrugia. „Geben Sie ihm die Information, dass die Statik des Gebäudes gravierend geschwächt ist und deshalb befürchtet werden muss, dass das Gebäude unmittelbar vor dem Einsturz steht.“

In the lobby of Building 7 of the WTC, EMS Division Chief John Peruggia is in discussion with Fire Department Captain Richard Rotanz and a representative from the Department of Buildings. As Peruggia later describes, “It was brought to my attention, it was believed that the structural damage that was suffered to the [twin] towers was quite significant and they were very confident that the building’s stability was compromised and they felt that the north tower was in danger of a near imminent collapse.” Peruggia grabs EMT Richard Zarrillo and tells him to pass on the message “that the buildings have been compromised, we need to evacuate, they’re going to collapse.” Zarrillo heads out to the fire command post, situated in front of 3 World Financial, the American Express Building, where he relays this message to several senior firefighters. He says, “OEM says the buildings are going to collapse; we need to get out.” (OEM is the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management, which has its headquarters in WTC 7.) Fire Chief Pete Ganci’s response is, “who the f___ told you that?” Seconds later, they hear the noise of the South Tower as it collapses. Fire Chief Joseph Pfeifer, who is at the command post in the lobby of the north tower, says, “Right before the south tower collapsed, I noticed a lot of people just left the lobby, and I heard we had a crew of all different people, high-level people in government, everybody was gone, almost like they had information that we didn’t have.” He says some of them are moving to a new command post across the street. Obwohl in allen Quellen Detailangaben wie Namen und genaue Orts- und Zeitangaben gemacht werden, wird nicht einmal der Name des genialen Ingenieurs genannt, der den Zusammenbruch der Twin Towers vorhergesagt hat. (dass es jemand hat, steht wohl außer Frage)
Warum? Warum ist uns der Name nicht bekannt? Warum nicht, wenn dieser Mann ein Held ist, der Dutzenden Menschen das Leben gerettet hat?
